September
This school year started off GREAT! We have made new friends and talking about the fair and the fair animals. We are going to explore different types of Apples and paint with them too. We are getting ready for Fall. In art time we are learning new ways of painting and Having a blast while we do it.
August
In the month of August we are going to see friends move to another class and new friends join us. We have been doing a lot of finger painting, Brush painting and stamping for fine motor skills. We have been playing outside; sliding, playing basketball and playing in the Sand Box. We are having a picnic outside. We are going to talk about animals at the Fair and about the families going to the Fulton county fair.
July
We started July out with a BANG! With our Red, White and Blue art projects. Then we went to the Sea and talked about Jelly Fish, Sparkly Fish and Sea Shells. We sang songs about Silly Fishies. We also did water fun outside on our playground. We took Buckets of water and squirt bottles and we got wet =)
April
April we are going to practice with glue sticks & glue stems on paper and we are going to practice cutting with scissors too. We will be talking about Rain and Flowers and Spring. We will be enjoying our playground more and taking walks too.
We are going to make planters for us to plant flowers in. Lots of Spring Art Projects (Flowers & Bugs).
March
This month we will be celebrating St. Patricks day and creating shamrock painting with Finger Paint and Marble Painting.
We will learn the importance of brushing our teeth and then brush a tooth on paper with paint.
We will learn most everything through natural play, which is what we love most.
Ways we will do this include:
- Building with blocks and playing with puzzles.
- Playing with Green playdough.
- Reading silly books and singing silly songs.
- Eating green treats. ex. green pudding and green jello and cookies.
February
We will be making lots of hearts and creating our card boxes for our Valentin party. We will also make cards for our Parents. We will use celery to make roses on our cards. This month we will be exploring the colors red and pink. Besides being enveloped in Valentine activities we will continue to learn about snow!
January
During the month of January we will be working on Snow Science. During this time we will be going outside and build our own snowman, and then make snowflakes in the classroom. This will be a very cold adventure and we will build on our knowledge of our environment through our senses.
December
This month is quite a joy for the littlest of us. We will be enjoying Christmas through our holiday party, games, treats, gift exchange and Santa visiting us.
Of course we will learn all about the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus birth.
We will get our hands messy by making candy cane play-dough and lots of other art projects.
We will be singing and reading about the meaning of Christmas.
We will end the month by making New Years Eve noise makers to ring in the New Year in 2013.
September
September is all abut APPLES and FARM ANIMALS. The color YELLOW and a SQUARE.
August is Here!
We are exploring different ways of painting (with fingers, blocks, paint and mud).
We are having a totally tropic week! We will be making leis and grass skirts and talk about coconuts and pineapples.
And if it feels a little warm in our classroom that is because we are going to be making lovely LAVA.
We will learn All About ME! and how Special I Am!
July News!
We started July out Red, White and Blue with a bang!
Then off we go to the Sandy Sea Shore, where we will make Jelly fish and Sparkly fish.
Camping and eating S'mores and a little fishing is next to come.
Last of all we finish the month with the Zoo and learn all about the animals that live there.
