The Annual Ice Cream Social will once again be sponsored by the Day Care Board, and the date has been set.  It will be on Friday, July 26th. 

The food will be served from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., prior to the Bible School program. 

So mark your calendars, and plan on coming to have some scrumptious food and delicious homemade ice cream!

The Ice Cream Social Committee will be asking for people to assist with food donations and to work.

 Please consider helping out with this special event.

 The proceeds earned from the Ice Cream Social will benefit the TLC Child Care, Inc. by helping to update the classrooms and playground.

May Happenings!

May brings the end of one preschool program and the preparation for the next program.  Don't hesitate to register for the summer preschool program or the fall preschool program.  There is also excitement in the air with the preparations and practices happening for the end of the year preschool program.  Some of the children will be graduating from preschool and will be moving onto kindergarten.  Join the fun and register today for the upcoming preschool programs!

Dates to remember:

May 20th : 18 month - 4 years end of the year program. 
May 21st: : 4-5 year old end of the year preschool program and graduation. 
May 24th : Last day of current preschool program. 

Many Things are Happening in April

April is a busy yet wonderful time of the year for most.  It reminds us of God's wonder as new life appears all around us. 

What's happening in April:

• Wauseon Kindergarten Screenings April 18th & 19th. 
• Spring Schwan's Fundraiser
• Silver for Safety during church services
• Lutheran Schools Week

All the teachers here at TLC are getting ready to lead this school year out with a great big bang!  The children are practicing hard for their end of the year program and preparing to move onto the next grade/classroom.

March News

"In like a lion out like a lamb" as the old saying goes.  We are bringing in the new season with wonderful actvities to help celebrate the beginning of spring.  March weather is always very unpredictable and therefore the times that we get outside will also be unpredictable.  With many days of rain and going in between cold and warmer temperatures it would be best to send your child in clothing that would allow for the top layer to be taken off if they get too warm.  However it is not quite warm enough to forget those coats at home. 

March happenings:

• St. Patricks day - March 17th
• Incredible Kid day - March 14th
• National Anthem day - March 3rd

This is a great time to start teaching children about the season of spring.  The plants and trees around us will start to change.  Many greens are starting to pop out of the ground from the hard winter.  As well as being able to watch the snow melt into water and disapear from our sidewalks and yards quickly.

Many things are happening

• Mother's Tea is February 7th & 8th.  (Check with your child's class for exact times)

• Valentine Parties are February 14 & 15th (Sign up sheets are found in or around the classrooms for treats)

• Kindergarten Registration is nearing (Information has been sent home with the students and there is a sheet outside the classroom with information as well)

February will be loads of fun!
